Fruit & vegetable monitor Roamler:

Dutch peppers still scarce in German retail

"Every year, we see many companies announce their retail programs on LinkedIn and industry platforms to highlight the start of the Dutch season," said Christiaan Rijnhout of the crowdsourcing platform Roamler.

Last week, however, the platform's Fruit and Vegetable Monitor revealed an interesting contradiction. Except for Edeka's XL store (E-Center), not a single German retailer was yet offering Dutch peppers.

"This raises some important questions," Rijnhout continued. "Are German retailers making decisions based on quality considerations, volume availability, or price factors? While the full answer may be complex, one thing is certain: the data speaks for itself!"
