Body of missing Vermont man Devin Whitham found in New Boston, NH, police say
The remains of a missing Vermont man have been located in a wooded area in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, according to police.The New Boston Police Department reported that on April 26, a hunter discovered a set of skeletal remains near Francestown Road in the town of New Boston. Police transported the body to the chief medical examiner in Concord for further analysis and to obtain a positive ID.This week, officials confirmed that the remains belonged to 38-year-old Devin Whitham, of Saxtons River, Vermont. Whitham had been reported missing and endangered due to mental health concerns.Whitham was first reported missing in April 2023 after his vehicle was found abandoned along the New Boston rail trail. A monthslong search by the New Boston Police Department, New Hampshire State Police and multiple other search teams failed to locate Whitham at the time.The cause and manner of Whitham's death are not being released at this time. However, police said foul play is not suspected.
